Browser-based tests

The color, motion and panel checks run in your browser. They do not ask for your camera, local files or a screenshot. The approximate refresh-rate indicator is calculated on the page from browser animation timing.

Calculator and local test report

Values entered in the PPI calculator are processed only on the page. Monitor test report fields are not sent to our server by default. If you choose “Save draft on this device,” the form data is written to this browser's local storage and can be removed with the clear button on the report page. We recommend that you do not enter a serial number or sensitive personal information.

Server access logs

Our hosting provider may record standard request data such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, response status, referrer and user agent. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and traffic-quality analysis, including detecting bots and abuse.

Google Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site use. Google advertising services may also be used after advertising approval. These services can use cookies or similar identifiers. The consent panel lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising storage. If you clear browser storage, the site may ask for your choice again.

Read Google's explanation of data use on sites and apps that use Google services.

Contact form

When you submit the form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent by email so we can respond. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information. A hidden field may be used to reduce automated spam.

Your choices and contact

You can reject optional storage in the consent panel and use browser controls to clear stored preferences. For a privacy question or a request concerning a message you sent, use the contact page. Requests under applicable local law may require identity verification.
