IPS glow vs backlight bleed
IPS glow generally changes with viewing angle and distance; backlight bleed tends to stay near the same edge. Compare at normal brightness, first from your seat and then from slightly different angles. Repeat in ordinary content before judging severity. Automatic phone exposure and night mode can greatly exaggerate dark-screen glow. Do not press the frame or loosen screws to change it.
Controlled comparison
Use the native resolution and a comfortable brightness. Keep room lighting stable and disable night colour filters while comparing tones.
Change one setting at a time. Record resolution, refresh rate, connection and overdrive or VRR settings, then repeat the same content.
What the result means
These visual patterns are not laboratory measurements. Confirm repeatable observations in ordinary content. Colour accuracy and pixel response require suitable instruments.
