Why is my 144Hz or 240Hz monitor stuck at 60Hz?
- Operating System Display Settings: In Windows, open Settings → System → Display → Advanced display and select your monitor's maximum refresh rate from the dropdown.
- Cable & Port Bandwidth: Older HDMI 1.4 cables often cap 1440p or 4K monitors at 60 Hz. Check your exact resolution and refresh rate combination in our HDMI & DisplayPort Bandwidth Calculator.
